About HKETO

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Kuala Lumpur is the official representative of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) dedicated to fostering robust bilateral relations with and elevating HKSAR's global standing in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Laos and Pakistan across economic, trade, and cultural spheres.

Commenced operation on 10 December 2025, this office marks a significant milestone as the HKSAR's 15th overseas ETO and the fourth within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. Operating in synergy with the HKETOs in Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok, the four ASEAN-based HKETOs are committed to intensifying trade and investment promotion across their respective purviews. Through this expanded network, the offices dynamically enhance economic integration with ASEAN and neighbouring partners, reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a premier international trade hub.
